Important to know

The summer in Mongolia is between June and August, and temperatures are hot, ranging from 15°C to 30°C. Mongolia is known as the “Land of Blue Sky” because there are approximately 240 sunny, clear days throughout the year.

During the middle of winter temperatures can plummet to -30°C, however, this can be hugely rewarding for well-prepared adventurers.

Mongolia’s landlocked location gives rise to an extreme continental climate, with temperatures varying wildly. The weather in Mongolia can be characterized as dry, cold, and sunny.

If you want to take videos or photographs yourself, we recommend you bring your own camera equipment. If not, that is fine. Your tour guide team will be documenting your trip for you.

We also recommend you to bring a first aid kit, sun cream, insect repellent and all necessary medicine that you may require. (headache, cold, diarrhea, allergy, motion sickness, and any medicine prescribed for you)

For clothing, we recommend you bring many layers of clothes. So that if it is too hot you can remove a layer, or if it is too cold you can add a layer. We also recommend a waterproof jacket, a hat, sunglasses, a headscarf, sturdy hiking shoes and sandals.

Some citizens are not required to get visa requirements within 30 days.

You can read all the necessary information at www.MongoliaVisa.com and www.evisa.mn

Visas will also be available from the Mongolian embassy in your country.

Don’t forget to attach our tour confirmation email and invoice to your visa application.

Mongolia has reopened its borders to fully vaccinated travelers. The government of Mongolia has announced, that all COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted and that Mongolia will be fully open to international travel as of 14 February 2022.

During any trips around the country, you will be camping in tents or in traditional Mongolian Ger Tourist Camps. These Ger Tourists camps are modern in utilities and comfort yet traditional in design. After you book your tour please make sure to include all dietary requirements. In the city and at certain Ger camps you will have the finest international meal choices. US Dollars are sometimes accepted, especially in Ulaanbaatar, but we would advise our travelers to carry some cash in the local currency, the Tugrik.

All banks in Mongolia will be more than happy to exchange your currency, as will most of the hotels you’ll stay in.
